Introducing Indians: Grand Wizards Of Sunset Spaz
When The Ringers announced they were breaking up in May of 2010, a dark cloud settled over the Los Angeles music scene. They were a band that were perpetually on the edge of breaking big, with countless sold-out, raucous shows at The Viper Room and various other venues in and around Los Angeles leading to a fiercely loyal fan base. Their music achieved placement in multiple TV shows and movies, yet they were never able to ride that rocket ship of success to a point where any of you have any idea who I’m talking about. Long story short, shit went sour and we were left without things to bang our heads to for the rest of the year.
Now, like a goddamn punk rock phoenix rising from the tears of the Sunset Strip, comes Indians. Half of The Ringers are back with frontman Joe Hursley (who you may recognize as sexy rocker “White Gold” from that awesome milk campaign a few years back) and cousin Patrick. They are joined by Michael Hayes and Mike McGill to create a new powerhouse that is both similar to The Ringers and altogether different. When their first released track Long Way From Home finds you not rocking out to it, it will make fun of your small penis and your shitty taste in music.
Their CD release show will be at The Viper Room on July 22nd, after which we’ll likely hit you over the head with a proper review. But consider this your warning shot.
You can find Indians at any of these fine internet establishments.

I did find myself rocking out to it. Got the small penis anyway (I’m a woman), but at least not shitty taste in music. I’ll be watching out for them and thanks for the preview. I live in an area where they shut down the good radio station a long time ago so have to depend on the internet to know about anyone. So thanks for the link. Really enjoy Antiquiet!
