News:  Incubus

Watch Incubus’ Full Hurricane Festival Set (New Songs!)

By Johnny Firecloud

While the rest of the world is going apeshit over Radiohead sucking and U2 tagging Beyonce and Coldplay at Glastonbury, our Saturday-morning live music experience is taking place a few countries away in Germany, where Incubus played a fantastic hourlong set at this year’s Hurricane Festival.

Check out the full HD video of the band’s set below, shot on June 18. The band plays a taste of new material in addition to classic hits and one-offs, most notably the sprawling, psychedelically awesome In The Company of Wolves. Check it out for yourself – and keep an eye out for the sick Riders on the Storm tag during Are You In?

Been a huge fan since I first heard ‘Pardon Me’ on the radio in ’99. These kiddos are getting better and better by the second. I don’t listen to much classic rock, but these boys will one day be as honored as ‘Zeppelin’ and ‘Hendrix’ are by music fans. The difference between this band and those is that this music imo will be considered more timeless as time passes by. That may or may not be the general difference between the timbre of classic rock compared to how music is recorded with such crisp precision these days. I prefer the newer, but to each his own. Even the weakest of ears can hear the musical maturity in their playing.

Incredible live band. I’ll be seeing them in Canden, NJ in a few months.
