News:  Eddie Vedder

Watch Eddie Vedder’s ‘Without You’ On Letterman

By Johnny Firecloud

Eddie Vedder took his Ukulele Songs on down to old friend David Letterman’s studio at the Ed Sullivan Theater Monday night, sampling a taste of his tropically-infused heartbreaker album on the Late Show during an off night from his solo tour.

Letterman introduced Vedder’s stirring performance of Without You with a personal touch: ”One time he was nice enough to actually give me a guitar, and it occupies a position of honor in my home,” the host shared.

Check out the performance, and note the nod to recently-passed Springsteen sax man Clarence Clemons on the mini-axe:

“If I had this voice, you could all kiss my ass,” Letterman mused at the end. Can’t disagree there.

Check out our review of Ukulele Songs, and check out Eddie on tour this Summer. And, of course, get ready for PJ20!

Eddie did a beautiful job with that performance and Dave is such an awesome host!
