News:  Arcade Fire

Watch Arcade Fire’s ‘Scenes From The Suburbs’ Film

By Fernando Scoczynski Filho

With Arcade Fire‘s upcoming deluxe edition of their tremendous 2010 album The Suburbs, it’s only fitting that there would be some bonus material to go along with it. Aside from a few bonus tracks, one of the main additions to the package will come in the form a short film directed by Spike Jonze, entitled Scenes From The Suburbs – which works as an extended version of their video for the album’s title track.

Co-written by Jonze & Arcade Fire’s Win Butler & Will Butler, this companion piece to the album follows the narrator, living in a suburban dystopia, trying to piece together fragmented memories from when he was a teenager, and his experiences with his friends as they grow apart.

The 30-minutes video is now available to watch online, at mubi.com.

The deluxe edition of The Suburbs, which is also set to include a booklet with 80 pages of photos from the Spike Jonze short, not to mention a behind-the-scenes documentary, comes out on August 2nd.

Sucks being in the US or Canada…and not being able to watch it. Gonna have to find an international ping address changer program to check it out I guess.
