The song featured in this trailer for film director David Fincher’s upcoming remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo sounds sort of like Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor producing the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O covering Led Zeppelin’s unhinged classic Immigrant Song.
That’s because that’s exactly what it is.

We heard about this little gem premiering the other night, and have been hunting for a copy ever since. Today we found it, on the internet of all places, thanks to an anonymous tip to The NIN Hotline.

That was incredible! I’m so happy and relieved that Trent chose a REAL girl singer, and one as talented and unique as Karen O. Their cover puts the original in the shade. Can’t wait for the whole soundtrack.

To cover Zeppelin – good – is awesome. Best cover of Zeppelin ever as far as I ever heard. Got to hear it last week in the trailer for the movie before ROTA movie. Needs to be released ASAP to hear the whole thing. BTW, ROTA was really good. Not a remake. Prequel.
This is an amazing cover, but the best Zeppelin cover I’ve ever heard is Tool covering Zeppelin’s “No Quarter” on their Salival album. If you like this at all, check that out for sure.
