News:  Eddie Vedder

Listen To Eddie Vedder’s ‘Ukulele Songs’

By Johnny Firecloud

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder’s second solo effort is up for listener grabs this morning, a few days prior to its May 31 release.

Thus, the PJ frontman shows his most intimate colors as a romantic balladeer in this 16 track collection, but with a running time of under 35 minutes there’s little danger of drowning in the sap – particularly when Cat Power and Glen Hansard show up to lend a voice late in the album.

I love Ed, but this is the album I was afraid Into The Wild was going to be. Luckily that album is awesome and he saved this for later. 1 or 2 little ukulele jams on a cool album, sure. But no way can i listen to a whole album of this.

    Long live Pearl Jam.

Eternal love & respect to EV but it should have a ‘May cause drowsiness’ warning.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease, Eddie, go back to rockin’! I have tons of respect for him, but this is shit. His voice sounds beautiful, but I would rather have a new PJ album.
