News:  Bon Iver

Watch Bon Iver Destroy Fallon… With a Bonnie Raitt Cover

By Johnny Firecloud

Goddamn. Some cats just know how to do it right. They stop time with a performance nobody expected, a gravity nobody can tune out, and hit you with a punch you in the heart that takes command of the entire emotional chemistry of the moment.

Bon Iver stopped by Jimmy Fallon’s show last night, but rather than perform first single Calgary, the singer offered a modified version of the single’s B-Side, a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s 1991 hit I Can’t Make You Love Me. Fans will also notice a taste of Donny Hathaway’s A Song For You.

Check it out:

Bon Iver is out 6/21 via Jagjaguwar.

I never checked Bon Iver out, but vocally, he reminds me of Shawn Smith from Brad so much. This was fucking fantastic.
