News:  Arctic Monkeys

Listen: Arctic Monkeys ‘Suck It And See’ (Full Album)

By Johnny Firecloud

Enjoy some awesome new jams while you test the limits of your blood-to-alcohol ratio today, thanks to a full stream of the Arctic Moneys‘ latest release Suck It And See.

By the sounds of it, the follow-up to Humbug is a sharp departure from the Homme-helmed desert sessions of its predecessor. This new effort is entirely produced by James Ford – who was also responsible for Favorite Worst Nightmare and three tracks on Humbug – at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles.

Suck It and See hits stores on June 6th, and you can pre-order that hot little bitch at Domino Records.

This album is wonderful. Piledriver Waltz, The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala, and Library Pictures are my favorites after having had a week or two to absorb it.

  2. Mike says:

It’s missing the Homme influence that the last album had and I really liked. Not as good as the last two albums, in my opinion.

I´m glad to see that the Arctic Monkeys are finally reverting back to their original sound after the terribly boring departure that was Humbug. This is still not up to par to their astounding debut (might they be another one-hit-album sensation in the vein of the Strokes?), but songs like “Brick by Brick” and “Library Pictures” (especially the latter) keep my hopes up just the same…
