News:  Omar Rodríguez-López

Listen To Omar Rodríguez-López’s ‘Telesterion’ Album

By Johnny Firecloud

Thanks to AOL, we can now get our ears around Telesterion, the massive bewildering magnificence of Latin spaz-physics rocker Omar Rodríguez-López‘s first compilation album, featuring a bounty of audible treats for your glorious sonic enlightenment.

One can hear the delightful sounds of Rapid Fire Tollbooth, the slow-jam predecessor to the nuclear assault of The Mars Volta’s Goliath and a bevy of tracks featuring TMV frontman Cedric Bixler-Zavala, among other vocalists.

“Everything I do is a celebration. The idea of this album is a place where people can get a general understanding of that ritual,” Omar said of the music collection, which was made available in an extremely limited run of 350 pieces to indie stores on Record Store Day.

Get your preorder on and rock that shit deep at Omar’s main site.

Thanks again to Some Kind of Awesome!
