News: Beastie Boys
New From Beastie Boys: ‘Tadlock’s Glasses’
Just as we’re getting excited for the full version of the Fight For Your Right: Revisited film we got teased on last week, another new Beastie Boys song drops. Who’s complaining? Not us.
We first tasted official sounds from the new Beastie Boys album Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2 in the form of Make Some Noise, and now Zane Lowe offers up a new track called Tadlock’s Glasses.
Listen below:
Also check out the next track on the album, called Lee Majors Come Again. This is an old jam (circa 2009?) that’s likely getting the revamp treatment for Hot Sauce Committee.
We’ve also got snippets from every song on the album, but we’ll be sure to hear more complete sounds before the May the 3rd release, but in the meantime we get to enjoy this trippy little jam.
Thanks to Consequence of Sound for the grab.

Maybe I just don’t get the whole Beastie Boys thing, but to my ears it sounds exactly like the same shit they’ve been doing for way too many years now. I mean, it’s literally gray-haired white guys, rapping. They were kinda funny like 20 years ago, but by now the schtick is way expired.
it sounds like the beastie boys, that’s true, but why shouldn’t it. They’re one of the last remaining hip hop entities still in the game, and nobody sounds like them, and many have tried. literally some of the most talented rappers on the planet. Intricate word play and verbal acrobatics, they’ve got more skills that the US government got kills. And the main reason beastie boys sound the same is because theyre undeniably old school and true to the form. Listen to their albums and youll see they actually have a far wider range than normal rap or HIP-hop
yeah this is exactly how i like my beasties.
HSCPt2 > DETOX, ’nuff said.
Yeah, Gray haired white guys that still make music better than 99% of the groups out there.
