News: Nine Inch Nails
Reznor: Year Zero Is On, ALVH Is Off
Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has made a few statements of interest.
First, despite earlier confirmation, he won’t be involved in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter after all. In a statement on the NIN message board, Trent explains that there’s not much to explain: “There’s no juicy story here, it’s just that when the news mysteriously leaked out about my involvement I hadn’t made up my mind completely… at that moment I thought I would be doing it.”
Bummer.
On the upside, Trent then adds a quick update on the HBO series based on the Nine Inch Nails album Year Zero: “I forgot to mention we’re still fully engaged with the Year Zero mini-series, writing away.”
Finally, on Twitter, Reznor teased us that he is right now as we speak working on the new 5.1 channel re-release of The Fragile with Alan Moulder. More info on that via this New York Times interview via NINarmy.

Funny…I just put on Hyperpower…
Then I come over to Antiquiet to read this news about the miniseries.
Odd coincidence. Such a brilliant record, even all these years later.
So NIN is over…except for all of the re-releases that are apparently coming our way? Sounds like somebody was just tired of touring (but still likes seeing cash roll in.)
So?
Trent was always retiring only from touring, that is exactly what he said when he retired the live band. His intention was always to continue making music, he said that explicitly back in 2009.
