What seems like an unfinished Detox track is a progressive party jam with a lot of promise. Dre’s verse is hot as hell, and the old studio hermit sounds on his A game. Let’s get this album out already!
Thanks to Some Kind of Awesome for the tip!

Dre’s verse was fine. The rest was pretty boring. I hope the rest of the album is better.
What a steamy load. It sounds like a bad Flo-Rida reject. Maybe instead of Dre trying to imitate the latest club songs, that will be forgotten in a week, he should try and be an innovator, like in the past. It really is just sad, because it looks like a forty something guy trying to be twenty. This track is a BIG disappointment.
100% speaking the truth. Bravo. To piggy back off your thought – clearly he is trying to appease the current hip hop audience. So far I have heard 3 tracks from the Detox album and they dissapoint me. He is in this for the money only.
R.I.P DRE.
This seems like more music for the Family Guy generation. Nothing grabs hold of you enough to make you want to listen to it again…just a concoction of random idea’s thrown together in an arbitrary order.
After hearing this many demo’s and official releases I have come to the conclusion that this record is most likely going to shit all over Dre’s back catalogue.
Is there a Dr in the house?
There seem to be 2-3 people commenting here who had the same expectations I had, which was Dre was one-of-a-kind and Detox should be very good. With The Chronic as the benchmark I had high expectations, but unfortunately I am heading toward major dissapointment after hearing 3 tracks already released by him. I thought the video for “I need a doctor” was pretty good, and kept my attention, but its just not the Chronic era.
