The Killers Continue Metamorphosis Into U2 With ‘Boots’
The Killers may as well begin speaking with Irish accents and saving the world from AIDS, because if this new song isn’t a U2 ripoff jam…
As long as we’re not listening to the Mormony lyrics or thinking about those beloved washed-up Irishmen, Boots is a nice little holiday song to warm the Christmas cockles. There’s no question that The Killers are pros at crafting the appealing pop jams, but they’re not exactly breaking ground on a new Christmas classic here.
Pleasant, but at :45 seconds I thought I was about to watch ISHFWILF version 2.0. The Killers/Brandon Flowers really do have an identity problem.
