Phish Is Gonna Fuck Your Face
With the 2-CD/2-DVD box set Alpine Valley 2010 hitting store shelves this week, Phish have posted a clip from what many fans consider the high water mark of their successful 2010 Summer Tour:
For only the second time since 1987, the band picked the remote Wisconsin venue to bust out the rare Mike Gordon gem Fuck Your Face. With a solid lock between Gordon’s thundering bass and drummer John Fishman, the Alpine Valley version is a much tighter take compared to the songs re-introduction at an earlier tour stop in Charlotte, North Carolina. However, it is the tasty Frank Zappa inspired guitar work of Trey Anastasio that makes this song hum.
Phish will bring 2010 to a close with five East Coast performances. For the first time in the bands history, they will perform a concert on New Year’s Day. While all three New York shows are sold out, tickets for both Worcester shows are still available. The dates are:
