Kanye Plays Nice For Christmas In Harlem

Just a few hours after an unfinished taste made the rounds Wednesday, a more polished version of the season’s obligatory Kanye West holiday jam Christmas In Harlem hit the tubes.

Clocking in at over 5 minutes, Christmas in Harlem finds West and So Appalled rapper CyHi Da Prince mixing it up with several others, including a reformed Dipset. In fact, the song’s title appears to be a reference to New York rap crew. “Just got Dipset verses for Christmas in Harlem!” West wrote on Twitter today, his first post in two weeks. “Eeeeevrybody on it!!!! Cam, Vado, Jimmy, Pusha, Big Sean, Cyhi, Teyana Taylor & Musiq.”

A gentle piano melody leads the way through a playful mood while toasting the Christmas spirit. “I like the way you think, mommy/Now pour some more eggnog in your drink, mommy/Got a surprise for you, it ain’t on your Christmas list/Gave her the hot chocolate, she said it’s deeelicious,” Kanye raps, before Teyana brings back the hook.

“Wonderful night to be alive baby,” raps an unabashedly cheerful West. “I’m so happy I’m with my baby. And we a lil late wit’ the Christmas gifts. Rushin’ for the mall, don’t trip, you know I drive crazy.” He later compares himself to the title character from 2003′s Bad Santa, before closing with the upliftingly egocentric “Happy Kwanzaa, and for the ones that aren’t Christian/Everybody gets gifts as long as I’m living!”
