News: Fiona Apple
New Fiona Apple Due Next Spring
A new Fiona Apple album is big news around here. It’s been five years since Extraordinary Machine, and the girl is three for three. Here’s what we know…
On Sunday, singer/songwriter Michelle Branch gushed on Twitter that she had heard a couple of new Fiona Apple songs. Verdict? “Amazing.”
Just knowing that actual songs are coming along somewhere is enough to stir up anticipation. But then we came across this Modern Drummer article on drummer Charley Drayton, which mentions that his current projects include “playing, co-producing, and mixing Fiona Appleās upcoming record, scheduled to be released in the spring of 2011.”
The last new music we’ve heard from Apple was this cover of Cy Coleman’s Why Try To Change Me Now released last year.
We’ll keep you posted.

I’m all about it.
As talented as she is beautiful… Extraordinary Machine was brilliant. Looking forward to this.
does the Antiquiet crew prefer the bootleg or the official Extraordinary Machine?
I think we may be split on that decision. I far preferred the original demos at the onset, but I was swayed by a recent revisit of the final product.
