Björk Resurfaces On Antony And The Johnsons’ Flétta

By Marianne Sp

Björk and Antony Hegarty (Antony And The Johnsons) have collaborated once again, to beautiful result. Flétta’s simple piano backing showcases the always-remarkable vocal talents of the two singers, with Björk taking the lead. Blurring the lines between pop and classical, both artists’ pure voices soar confidently, timeless and unadorned. The track makes a perfect backing for the contemplative  nature of the fall season: quiet, measured and beautiful.

The track was released as a streaming track Wednesday on Hegarty’s Tumblr account, but has since been removed. So hear it here while you can!

Flétta will be released on October 12 on Antony and the Johnsons’ Swanlights album from Secretly Canadian. Learn more at their official site.

Hegarty and Björk’s previous songs together, The Dull Flame of Desire and My Juvenile, appeared on her most-recent full-length album, Volta, in 2007.
