News:  Miss Banks

Miss Banks Uses Slow Hands On Interpol

By Johnny Firecloud

She’s not even 20 yet, but Miss Banks (aka Azealia) is already making waves and climbing ranks with feature contributions on Hip-Hop albums all over the map (she most recently dropped a verse on Major Lazer’s latest EP).

She packs aggressive sex appeal and Harlem punch on her original work, but Banks just switched it up with an uncharacteristic and fascinating cover of Interpol’s Slow Hands that puts a different spin on the hit:

We don’t know much about Miss Banks, and what we’ve heard of her work we can’t entirely vouch for (decide for yourself), but credit’s due on this jam, where Azealia actually sings instead of baby-raps. And girl’s got a voice on her.

Thanks to The Fader for the heads up!

Sure, she can sing, but this song is at best mediocre, getting a little better near the end, still, not even close to original.
