It’s Friday, it’s payday, and there’s an awesome new song from Cee-Lo called Fuck You… I’ve only been awake for ten minutes, but it’s already starting to look like one hell of a good day.
Cee-Lo Green, most recognizable as the soul anchor to Danger Mouse in Gnarls Barkley, posted the video below this morning on his website, complete with lyrics. The song is a kickass little dig at gold-diggers, and damned if it doesn’t make me wanna dance my ass off – and deliver a welcome reminder of Reggie Watts.

Cee-Lo says he plans to release an official video sometime next week. Be on the look out for his new album Lady Killer later this year.

Listening to Cee-Lo makes me like I am witnessing some serious talent in my lifetime. The type of talent that deserves serious critical acknowledgement. Makes me feel like I’m a genius just for enjoying his entire body of work. And I didn’t do shit, but listen. I mean the guy took such a juvenile and crass phrase (and subject matter) and made it work … he’s like the Anti-Kanye.
I needed bootie shake first thing this morn so I tapped this.
