After Nine Inch Nails’ Lights In The Sky tour in 2008, Alessando Cortini left the band to pursue a solo career. Today, we finally get to hear what he’s been working on.
In case you’re not a superfan, Cortini played keys on the With Teeth tour cycle, and collaborated in the studio, with a few writing credits on their instrumental album Ghosts I-IV.
His album, entitled SONOIO, is out as of today. The title comes from the Italian words sono io, which basically mean “it’s me.” Kind of a no brainer for the Italian Cortini, working for the first time alone.
Following the trend of recent NIN-related releases, the full-length album can be acquired in a large variety of packages, including, aside from a CD and/or MP3 files, goods such as T-shirts, posters, an exclusive EP with demos, and even an actual fucking synthesizer. You can purchase the album here, and check out a few tracks as well.

Is it narcissistic to be the first person to ‘like’ your own pieces? I’ve always leaned towards yes, but still on the fence.
It’s just a promoting tool anyways.
Not bad, just nothing out of the ordinary (I guess that’s a ‘meh’?), After a thousand ‘you’re not the one you used to be’ in the second song…I gave up.
