Kanye Drops New Songs Via Tabletop A Capella

It’s fun to hate on Kanye West these days, a deserving punching bag who redefined arrogance and shark-jumping ego trips, but be warned – the seeds have been planted for his inevitable return to glory.
After his mic-grabbing incident was immortalized by Eminem, the 808s & Heartbreak rapper made a return appearance with an unusual step to raise hype for his next album, which is no longer titled Good Ass Job: He showed up at Facebook headquarters in Palo Alto, California yesterday to preview a handful of new songs – a capella.
Dressed in a suit and standing on top of a table in the conference room of the Facebook office, and laid out verses to Mama’s Boyfriend, Chain Heavy, Lost In The World and Sweat On My Face.
A sampling of lyrics from Lost In The World shows the man hasn’t lost any of his narcissistic flare: You’re my lies / You’re my truth / You’re my war / You’re my truce / You’re my questions / You’re my proof / You’re my stress / You’re my masseuse… and so on, to the hook: If we die in each other’s arms / We’ll still get laid in the afterlife.
An one point, the rap mogul even called out Twitter, before moving on to a compelling narrative from a young boy’s perspective, rapping a warning to his mother’s new boyfriend. It’s a standout that we’ve got high hopes for when the record drops.
Sweat On My Face:
Lost In The World / Chain Gang:
Mama’s Boyfriend:
It’s good to see Weezy looking a little nervous and humble… But we know better than to get used to it.

Why do you always re-encode the videos rather than just embedding the youtube video? JW Player never works properly for me. It always stalls while buffering and then I have to go find whatever you guys were talking about on my own. Why not just embed like everyone else?
we’re looking into those jw player issues. we’ve noticed them. if you’re seeing them, gotta pause and then hit play again to work around it in the meantime.
but here’s why we host the videos ourselves:
1) youtube sucks too
2) videos get removed from youtube
3) youtube sucks too
4) our videos can always be played in any country
5) fuck everyone else and their lazy asses
alright, been talking to the makers of jw player and thoroughly testing over the past few days. if you have problems playing video, upgrade your flash player to the latest version on adobe.com. that fixed everything for me.
if the video is loading slow, you’re probably going to have problems anywhere. we’re not even close to hitting our bandwidth limits.
[...] and in case you didn’t catch it, you might recognize some of these rhymes from Ye’s tabletop a capellas over at Facebook HQ last month. [...]
