Another Song By How To Destroy Angels

This month’s issue of the Wired iPad app has a feature on the writing/recording process of a new track by How To Destroy Angels, Trent Reznor’s new project with his wife Mariqueen Maandig and NIN producer Atticus Ross.

While the article itself is available online for viewing by regular computers, the iPad version actually features the track. And guess what? NIN fans are clever, so the track has already been extracted from the app. You can listen to The Believers right here:

So that makes three out of six tracks that we’ve now heard from HTDA’s upcoming self-titled EP. I have to say I was more pleased with this track than the past two, and I’m digging the “out-of-tune African marimba” that Wired mentioned, which reminds me of Year Zero. Also, Mariqueen’s whispering is much more subtle this time.
