Omni Says Press Play

Look, just because a band has hipster cred, doesn’t mean they suck. Take Minus The Bear for instance. Their 2007 album Planet Of Ice was an exceptional work of indie / math / progressive rock, and made it onto my personal “short” list of the best albums of the decade.

They’ve unveiled a brand new song entitled, My Time, along with a little game any child of the 80s should be able to appreciate. Don’t worry stoners, you don’t have to complete the game to hear the song.

Minus The Bear has recently signed with Dangerbird Records, who will be releasing their new album Omni on May 4th.

Cool tune. Downloaded it. Gotta love the free dl.

Despite the hype, I thought Planet of Ice was a disappointing follow-up to Muenos El Oso. Although the album art on Planet of Ice was way better than this. I’m sure the album will be good (even sub-par MTB is better than none), I just wish the album art did the expanded canvas of vinyl gate-fold packaging justice.
