Duff Joins Jane’s Addiction: Visual Confirmation

By Johnny Firecloud

For over a month now it’s been rumored/reported that the space in Jane’s Addiction left vacant by departing bassist Eric Avery has been filled by Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver low-end Duff McKagan, but this morning we received the first visual confirmation via a tweet from Jane’s guitarist and nipple-ring aficionado Dave Navarro.

Yeah, we’re pretty damned excited too.

The band is currently writing and recording a new album, which we’re looking forward to with a level of anticipation usually reserved for the birth of firstborn children or the end of a “special” massage. Stay tuned for more…

Update: You can watch shitty video of the band debuting Duff Tuesday night in Los Angeles with a cover of Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love.

  1. This is fantastic news. Eric Avery may be a groove beast, but Duff is obviously got the chops as well.
