Over At Jimmy’s, It’s 1994 All Over Again, Again

What’s up with Late Night With Jimmy Fallon being like the Coachella of talk shows? Sunny Day Real Estate reunited for a performance in September, and then last night Jawbox performed together for the first time since 1997.
You can watch the band perform the songs 68 and FF=66 over on theĀ official site. If it wasn’t for Jimmy Fallon, Late Night would probably be the coolest talk show since Arsenio’s.
The “one-time only” performance was in honor of the remastered re-release of the band’s definitive 1994 release, For Your Own Special Sweetheart. For more info, hit up DeSoto Records.

I bet their kids are embarrassed.
I feel completely uncool for never having heard of this band. That is a good song.
they were relatively obscure… but influenced the deftones / will haven / far / sacto hardcore bands. deftones did a good cover of that song with jonah matranga. on their b-sides comp.
cool. I’ll check ‘em out.
The Roots are the best part of LNJF (although Fallon has improved a lot as a talk show host.)
