The Weezer iTunes Pass launched today on the iTunes Store, giving fans access to a treasure trove of material that, at least for now, can’t be found anywhere else.
The iTunes Pass offers new and exclusive music, video, remixes, art and other content from users’ favorite artists over a set period of time, delivered to their iTunes library the moment they’re available. It’s just one of many approaches by established artists to shape the new school of music distribution in the digital age.
For instance, if you purchase the Weezer iTunes Pass ($19.99) you’ll have access to a variety of content beginning on October 13th (today) with a cover of The Clash’s Should I Stay Or Should I Go, and continuing in weekly installments until November 24th. The deal includes a deluxe version of the band’s new album Raditude plus exclusive additional tracks, live recordings, remixes, behind-the-scenes video footage and the music video for single (If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To – which is the catchiest damn song by a white dude I’ve heard all year.
Raditude, the follow-up to 2008’s The Red Album, finds the band choosing to collaborate with a wide variety of musicians, songwriters and producer for a collection of songs that breaks new ground for the band. Raditude features appearances by Lil’ Wayne, Jermaine Dupri and collection of traditional Indian musicians. Look for it on October 27. Or just wait for all the songs to hit the radio, which of course they will.

Hope the album leaks before the Palladium show on the 24th.
ew.
Another lost potential sale (well, not really) because I refuse to buy anything off iTunes.
Cameron says:
Mommy, that’s a puppy bouncing.
Why is that puppy bouncing?
I think that puppy likes to bounce.
I don’t like this turkey.
Turkey is not bomb.
Still pretty much the worst album cover of the year. Yeah, that’s all I have to add.
