Kanye’s Still An Asshole, Brought To You By Spike Jonze

Kanye West has collaborated with director Spike Jonze for We Were Once A Fairytale, a bizarre short film that features an interpretive spin on the 808s And Heartbreak track See You In My Nightmares.
The film, which was originally intended to debut on iTunes in early September, finally hit the internet over the weekend via KanyeLive. The 11-minute journey finds Kanye acting drunk (not very well) in a club and making new strides in his quest to be the world’s biggest asshole (he managed that part pretty well). This happens before he has sex with a ghost, commits seppuku with a large knife and pulls a gnome/furry demon/teddy bear out of his stomach. Right. Weird. Check it out for yourself.
On top of being a terrible actor, Kanye’s still that same stage-crashing, meme-spawning prick who believes he’s the central force in the universe. Never once do we forget that as his character stumbles through the club, yelling at people, waving his money around. But this is art, folks. Kanye says so.

Possibly the equal to the Courtney Love’s ‘method acting’ as Larry Flynt’s wife…?
(don’t get me wrong, she’s a pretty good muso)
This is really unfortunate. So much so that I almost wished the ritual were being performed for real. Damn. He had Yoda’s cousin in his belly.
I thought Courtney’s performance wasn’t too bad, actually. Though I’m no fan of her music – well, Live Through This was pretty good.
I want my 11 wasted minutes back.
Kanye can even make an animatronic creature want to kill itself. That was fucked up. That fuzzy mouse thing deserved better. :) I, too, wish he would stick a knife in his own gut for real.
Sad to admit, but I thought Courtney was pretty good in that movie. Better than Kanye in this. Shit, the mouse thing gave a better performance.
Stop paying attention to the dumbass, maybe he will eventually go away. Although he does make for conversation, be it ridiculous. It’s like watching your kids sometimes, when they say, “Mom! Look at MEEEEE!”
[...] but this was just too good to pass up. In this outtake from the kitsch nonsense short film We Were Once A Fairytale, director Spike Jonze is seen getting fed up with Kanye West’s Blackberry addiction to the [...]
