Time For More Descending Vulture Analogies

We’ve been wary of over-covering Them Crooked Vultures, the most buzzworthy new band that can’t suck since The Dead Weather. In case you’ve been living under a cactus, The Vultures are Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age, Dave Grohl of Nirvana / Foo Fighters, and John Paul Jones of Led Motherfucking Zeppelin.

But there’s new news to report. Of course we wish it included word on when you can get your hands on an actual song or album, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to sink your fat beaks into.

There have been two promo videos posted since the in-studio clip of Nobody Loves Me And Neither Do I; one featuring more studio footage, set to Elephants…

…and more recently, an animated clip set to Scumbag Blues:

And even more exciting than that, there are a bunch of tour dates, for North America…

10/01 Stubb’s / Austin, TX (ACL Pre-Party)
10/02 Austin City Limits / Austin, TX (Replacing Lily Allen)
10/05 War Memorial / Nashville, TN
10/06 LC Pavilion / Columbus, OH
10/08 The Fillmore / Columbus, OH
10/09 The Sound Academy / Toronto, ON
10/11 House Of Blues / Boston, MA
10/12 The Electric Factory / Philadelphia, PA
10/14 9:30 Club / Washington, DC

…and the UK:

12/10 Pavilions / Plymouth, England
12/11 Guildhall / Portsmouth, England
12/13 Empress Ballroom / Blackpool, England
12/14 O2 Academy / Birmingham, England
12/15 O2 Academy / Edinburgh, Scotland
12/17 HMV Hammersmith Apollo / London, England

Public onsale starts September 5th for the North American shows, and September 4th for the UK shows. For more details, head to the band’s new tour page.

We’ll be in Austin to cover the first two shows of the tour. Stay tuned.

P.S. We’ve been updating our TCV live bootlegs YouTube playlist. Check it out.

    For those who care:

UK pre-sale was this morning at 9am

North American pre-sale is tomorrow morning (3rd) at 10am

    Find the passwords yourselves

Now to come up with 50 fuckin bucks plus Ticketmaster “convenience fees” to go to the worst venue in all of Toronto and the biggest and shittiest one they play on the entire tour

Why can’t I live close to Detroit anymore?

  • zoopster says:

I am bummed they apparently aren’t coming to the west coast. WTF? Hopefully more dates to come…….

  • Rory says:

So jacked about this tour. See you in Toronto and Detroit.

  • Skwerl says:

i’m a little worried about the us presales… the uk dates have a dedicated presale link via the newsletter, but i haven’t seen one for the north american jaunt. we got our passes for acl, but i guess i’m hoping that tomorrow the stubb’s onsale page magically opens up a presale password field.

  • Rory says:

Ya nobody has received the password yet. I’m hoping the link becomes available overnight in the Crooked Times part 3.

It would be awesome to see them at Stubbs…

  • Skwerl says:

the band tweeted a link to the dc presale. looks like they’re just going to do it one at a time. hope to score stubb’s tickets in the morning.

  • trucks says:

password was emailed out a day or two ago

    i got my toronto presales

    now contemplating detroit

  • We shall conquer Stubb’s.

  • stu says:

50 bucks for a ticket? At 930 club? What is that?

  • Rory says:

Prices are pretty high…but it’ll be worth it. Got my tix for both shows…fuckin jacked.

  • trucks says:

    stu:

would you rather them charge 50 bucks to play at an arena or ampitheatre?

they are expecting most people to just download the album so ticket prices are gonna be higher. get used to it.

  • 818 says:

Why not just grab a guest list spot bro?

  • Skwerl says:

because i’m not as cool as you, bro.

  • Oh, this fuck’s back? Welcome, douche! What happened to you at Epicenter, 818? Held a ticket for you right up till showtime. Would’ve loved to hear more of your delightfully entertaining stories. Permanent offer stands for that one – oh, except that “secret vultures show” wink wink nudge.
