When we reviewed the Builders And The Butchers’ latest album Salvation Is A Deep Dark Well, the video for Golden And Green wasn’t quite ready. The stills from the shoot looked pretty darn cool though, and so I had always meant to keep an eye out for it and post it here.

Well… I’m a month late. But I just stumbled upon it, and it hit the spot. Happy Saturday.

The video was inspired by the work of the late Henry Darger, a very interesting case of a man I once spent a full weekend researching curiously. His Wikipedia page is rather extensive, and there’s a documentary called In The Realms Of The Unreal that’s worth checking out if your imagination is hungry.

Found this album in the scratched section of my local used music shop. Paid $0.92 for it and it plays like a brand new cd. Amazing album. Thanks for giving these guys the coverage they deserve. Wouldn’t have discovered them any other way.
