Michael Jackson, the enigmatic, legendary and irreplaceable King Of Pop, has died. He was 50 years old.
Jackson is reported to have died after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home. Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times that paramedics responded to a 911 call at 12:26 PM. He wasn’t breathing when paramedics arrived, and was pronounced dead after being rushed to the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Michael Jackson leaves behind three children and a musical legacy our grandchildren’s children will know about. And if we’re lucky, the brilliant art will overshadow the struggles of the artist. There will only ever be one Michael Jackson. Long live the King.

i love that you pulled up a jackson 5 clip, and not the motown 25 lip-synched dialed in performance like every fucking body else. michael was god when i was six, and i don’t mean to suggest bad and thriller weren’t perfect, but the jackson 5 stuff on a whole holds up so much better. rip michael.
Billie Jean is a PERFECT song. That is a FACT.
I love little Michael.
Something very unique about MJ unlike any other artist is that he’s one that you can’t say belonged to “my era” or to “your era”. His career has had many different phases/incarnations (Jackson 5 phase, Thriller phase, The Wiz phase, freakshow phase, married with children phase, HIStory phase, etc.) that one or more of those phases has been a part of just about everyone’s life, affected it, been ingrained upon it. Personally, I’ve been around for all of those phases and more including the ET phase (a personal favorite of mine) and as I sit here and write this I can honestly say that I cannot imagine what my musical life would be like today if he hadn’t played such a magical part of it. That I’d lost the plot along the way is irrelevant because the songs are still the same as is his import and imprint upon life as I know it.
Eu te amo Michael, nós te amamos.
