Conan Heads For The Heavens

This one’s gonna have to be quick, because I’m running out the door to interview the drummer of the band (what’s his name again? Jack something…), but here’s a great performance of Hang You From The Heavens by The Dead Weather from last night’s Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien.

Looks to me like Horehound is finished and set to drop… it’s due out July 14th on Third Man Records, and we’re on that action like moths to a flame.

If Jack weren’t in this band no one would give a shit. And that reaction would be appropriate.

  • Ryan says:

If he weren’t in the band, then Dead Weather wouldn’t exist. That’s like saying, “If Jack White wasn’t Jack White, then no one would give a shit about Jack White.” Its a mind boggler, I know.

  • Skwerl says:

if it were a random guy with comparable drumming skills, it would have taken them longer to get where they basically started at. on the other hand, while i’m not particularly crazy about this band, i think they’d still find a loyal audience.

  • Ryan says:

Right, what i was saying is Jack started theband so talking about one without the other wouldn’t make sense.. I guess I am just skipping the hypothetical situation all together. I have no imagination.

no one seems to have commented on the real issue here…you got an interview with jack white?!?! should be awesome

  • Stoo says:

now there’s an awkward-looking drummer. looking forward to the interview though.

Dead Weather are quality, cant wait for the album.

  • Kevin says:

I really enjoy this band for some reason. It makes me want to listen to Nazareth.

  • stu – yes sir! it was more of a press conference, but i got a few questions in. stay tuned.

Re: Stoo “now there’s an awkward-looking drummer.” Fuck yeah.
