Drugs Are Bad, With Stephen Colbert

He’s got Clark Kent’s hair, glasses and posture, the delusionally arrogant demeanor of Bill O’Reilly and the mischievous grin-and-wink of a leprechaun who just slept with your wife.
I’m talking, of course, about Stephen Colbert, a man who continues to bat .999 with his brilliantly-written mock-insider pundit talk show The Colbert Report, a Peabody Award winning, Emmy nominated juggernaut of razor-sharp satire that’s already 400 episodes deep on Comedy Central. The Report takes no prisoners, illuminating and straight-faced legitimizing the absolute absurdities of politics and media in today’s world with a sharp wit and comic timing that easily eclipses that of his seasoned predecessor and fantastic originator, The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.
He ran for president. He voices half of the animated Ambiguously Gay Duo on Saturday Night Live. He coined the term ‘truthiness,’ and his now-infamous candidate-boosting “Colbert Bump” has been studied and legitimized by exactly the same political parasites he caricaturizes.
Last night, the master of mockery put his hilarious spin on the drug war- you know, that other unwinnable war we’re still blowing billions of dollars on.
I guess I should say something more about the video after devoting four paragraphs to kissing Colbert’s ass. It’s really funny… how’s that? Alright, let’s try again: It’s a snippet of classic modern satire, animatedly appraising the paradoxical relationship between the federal and state governments’ approach to the decriminalization of medicinal cannabis. The best part is where a classic Tarantino amputation scene is used to protect us from the traumatic and evidently much less kid-friendly vision of a man smoking his prescribed stash.
Oh yeah, while we’re on topic, go see Pineapple Express. Good times. Seth Rogen knows what the hell he’s doing. He’s gonna be around for a while.

haha, I saw that too, but I just had to watch that video again. The music and flashing slides of drug images is so great.
Animation is such a big industry, think about it, you need to have great interest to succeed in it.
