Download Nine Inch Nails’ Two-Hour-Long 2013 Tour Rehearsal Tapes

Nine Inch Nails, Music

NIN Robin Finck

The Nine Inch Nails fan community keeps on showing how resourceful it can be. Ever since the band went back on tour, audio and video from just about every show have been popping up online, usually in stellar quality. The latest gem to surface is arguably one of the best-sounding NIN recordings out there, but it doesn’t come from a proper concert.

As claimed by a post on reddit, someone working with the band’s production team came across more than two hours’ worth of unreleased audio, taken from their rehearsals in June – and posted all of it online. The files contained what you’d expect from a pre-tour rehearsal, with the band going over just about every song they’ve been playing, and a fair amount of talk and false starts. Overall, a great-sounding and revealing listen, with a standout being the new version of Sanctified.

After quickly spreading among fans, the recording was organized by Reflecting In The Chrome into a more appropriate running order (unfortunately, sans the banter), and can be downloaded here.
