Listen to QOTSA Cover Mark Lanegan’s ‘One Hundred Days’ On French Radio

Queens Of The Stone Age, Music

Queens of The Stone Age 2013

With Queens of the Stone Age touring behind their fantastic new LP …Like Clockwork for a few weeks now, it’s inevitable to see the band try a few new things live. A couple of weeks ago, they performed an odd cover of Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines; today, we get something a lot more recognizable.

Playing a three-song acoustic set for French Radio OuiFM, QOTSA pulled off a beautiful cover of Mark Lanegan’s Hundred Days - from his 2004 LP Bubblegum, on which Josh Homme recorded a few instruments. Listen to Homme do a fine job of replacing Lanegan’s voice below:

Thanks to QOTSAarchive for the recording

  1. That was a beautifully faithful cover to one of Lanegan’s best songs. Did we need it? Probably not. Am I glad we got it? Yes, indeed.
