Hear True Blood Season 3 Soundtrack Featuring BRMC & More

Vampire Porn, Music

A couple weeks ago, we got a press release promoting the soundtrack to season 3 of the show True Blood. It featured a link to stream Black Rebel Motorcycle Club covering the theme song. A miscommunication resulted in that cut not being posted, but I made a completely insincere promise to post a stream of the full album, if and when it appeared, along with a picture of Sookie Stackhouse’s boobs. Well, here I am delivering on that promise.

Until today, it was my understanding that True Blood is a show about vampires killing and fucking each other. Boobs and blood everywhere, rock n’ fuckin’ roll. If that wasn’t even enough of an incentive for me to ever watch an episode, I can’t imagine I’ll ever get around to it now that the Google image searches conducted in the interest of keeping to my word has helped me to realize that it’s actually just a show about naked dudes that have vampires in it somewhere maybe.

Anyway, no less than four obvious covers of She’s Not There notwithstanding, the soundtrack has some interesting stuff on it besides the BRMC rarity. There’s a cover of Season Of The Witch by Karen Elson & Donovan, a rare cut from Violent Femme Gordon Gano’s solo album with PJ Harvey, and a great old Nick Lowe song called Cold Grey Light Of Dawn.

Oh… by the way, that post wasn’t safe for work.

Stream via Entertainment Weekly.
