The Mars Volta’s Octahedron dropped last week, and with interest in the group peaking, it feels like as good a time as any to re-acquaint you all to keyboardist Isaiah “Ikey” Owens’ band, Free Moral Agents.
We had the pleasure of hosting them at our Rock For Justice benefit at Enjoy Human back in May, and over the weekend we finally finished mixing down & editing together everything we recorded and filmed. We’re proud to present this clip introducing the band, featuring an interview with Mendee Ichikawa, Dennis & Ikey Owens, as well as live footage from the event.
Free Moral Agents are currently gearing up to release their album Honey In The Carcass Of The Lion on Chocolate Industries, along with an EP titled Control This and a 10″ vinyl collaboration with Fela Kuti’s drummer and Afro Beat co-founder Tony Allen, titled North Is Red.
Follow Free Moral Agents through their MySpace, Twitter, and their website, to be launched soon.
Tons of photos from the Rock For Justice event can be viewed here, and we’ve also gotta plug everything we’re doing with Free Moral Agents’ support from that show- Raashan Ahmad. His interview from the same night can be viewed here, and we’re still pushing his brand-new solo release via Antiquiet Releases.
