Interviews: Brother Ali
Brother Ali Kicks Wisdom & Trades Verses With Atmosphere
As we’ve mentioned once or twice in the past week, the fourth annual Paid Dues festival took place at the Nos Events Center in San Bernardino last Saturday, featuring crushing appearances by some of the industry’s fiercest and hardest working names including Brother Ali, Living Legends and Atmosphere. It was an unforgettable night, with some of the best rap performances this fan’s ever laid eyes on.
As promised, we’ve put together some more kick-ass footage of the day’s events for you- this time we’ve got an interview & performance with the legendary Brother Ali, Paid Dues’ runaway show-stealer this year. Sitting down with us just a few minutes before his set, Ali breaks down the origins of the Rhymesayers family, as well as the work ethic and core philosophy that’s enabled them to spread the limelight around so that everybody in Rhymesayers network gets their time to shine. We discuss the vital importance of brand recognition in an industry that’s in the midst of a heavy molting phase- a topic near & dear to Antiquiet’s heart. Nobody knows for sure what the end result of the digital revolution is going to look like, and at a time when quality of content is more vital than ever, people like Brother Ali, Atmosphere, Living Legends and other visionaries are leading the charge by stepping up their game on all fronts- and opening the door to other like-minded artists in the process.
He also discusses the rise of one of the newest Rhymesayers additions, POS, and kicks down a little wisdom for all the little MCs out there trying to get into the game. See for yourself:

jealous isn’t a strong enough adjective..
Yea, still sour about this one Firecloud. Rhymesayers is TRUTH.
