Deftones, Marilyn Manson, Lamb Of God and More Set for Petite-Nation Rockfest 2013

Petite-Nation Rockfest , Festivals

Leave it to the French Canadians to book a two-day music festival filled with washed up acts from all walks of life.

amnesia rock fest 2013

Now in year number 8, Petite-Nation Rockfest will go down June 14th and 15th in a location that is only 45 short minutes from downtown Ottawa. Yes we admit that Deftones, Social Distortion and Lamb of God have and always will be great, especially in the live setting. We also admit that there are some solid under-card acts including Fucked Up, The Acacia Strain, and Kataklysm.

Yet one can’t help but laugh at some of the has-beens and never-was these French speaking North American’s have put together for two full days of rock and roll madness. Marilyn Manson and The Offspring will no doubt make you realize why they faded from importance over a decade ago as they struggle through greatest hits sets. If that isn’t enough subpar action for you, the likes of Less Than Jake, Mad Caddies and H20 will be there and are no doubt stoked to perform for a big festival crowd again since Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman ditched them for generic mallcore bands like Killswitch Engage (who will also be at Petite-Nation Rockfest 2013) back when Bush was in office.

You can of course check out the complete lineup in the above posted poster. Good luck reading those small print bands. You can check out the official site of the festival here. Please note it is in French Canadian so we suggest viewing in Google Chrome and laughing at the poor French to English translation.

If I weren’t already going to Bonnaroo, I’d go just to see Transplants and Millencolin.

How does Marilyn Manson sell concert tickets?

Pretty solid punk lineup there, even if it is mainly old school.
