Festivals:  Sasquatch Festival

Watch Reignwolf Obliterate ‘In The Dark’ at Sasquatch

By Johnny Firecloud

We’re going to let the music continue to speak for itself when it comes to this one. Jordan Cook aka Reignwolf played the Sasquatch festival over the weekend, and obliterated the stage, the parking field & his own van, according to reports.

Check out a shitkickin’ version of In The Dark below.

Thanks to Niki Avataria for the clip.

Here’s a shot of him playing in a vineyard for the Too Beautiful To Live podcast at Sasquatch. By all accounts, he “fucking crushed it”.

He’s a kid with goddamned wizard hands, and he’s about to explode. He’s also writing/recording with some of his favorite musicians, including Matt Cameron (Soundgarden/Pearl Jam) and Matt Chamberlin (David Bowie, Morrissey – also Pearl Jam’s first drummer).

I’ve said it once, and it bears repeating: Go to his website. Spend all your money on his shit. Just do it. Call your local congressman or Saskatchewan consulate or whatever the fuck you need to do – spread the word and get this man to come play in your town. If Jack White can only sell 138,000 copies of his record in the first week, we’re really going to have to band together to spread the love and keep the passion afloat. The industry’s fucking gasping for air and clawing at the most colorful cellophane as it plunges deeper into the abysmal depths of its own demise. It’s up to us to support the artists we love. The people who get us on our feet with a WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! and a Turn that shit up!!! Which, admittedly, doesn’t happen altogether that often these days.

But it does happen. And Jordan Cook is that man in this moment. Let’s get behind him.

He also played an impromptu set on top of a van in the band area at Sasquatch, as seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24226914@N07/sets/72157629940217504/
